Information
What is AED?
Alpha Epsilon Delta is dedicated to help aspiring medical students grow both professionally and academically by fostering a community that shares a passion for medicine. We strive to create an environment which prepares students for the rigors of college, their careers, and beyond. Although we are a Pre-Medical Honor Society, we appreciate academic diversity and welcome all majors to apply. We seek members who are hard working and, above all, willing to better themselves and the community around them. Think this sounds like you? Come apply, we are sure AED has something to offer you!
How does the recruitment process work?
Interested in joining AED* but want more information on how to apply? Come to one of our info sessions listed below! After attending one of these sessions, fill out our application by the deadline. After this, we'll contact you to sign up for one of the group interview sessions listed below based on your availability (all applicants will receive a group interview). These group interviews will allow you to show communication and teamwork skills while being able to interact with our executive board via zoom. From here, you'll hear from us whether or not you advance to the next round of individual interviews where you'll meet in person with two of our executive board members and let us learn a little more about yourself, your interest in medicine, and more! After your individual interview, we'll be in contact to notify the members of our next class!
I'm in! Where can I apply?
We recruit twice a year! Once at the beginning of the fall semester and another time at the beginning of the spring semester! Both classes receive the same experience and there is no advantage or disadvantage to applying for one or the other. We also welcome and encourage previous applicants from prior semesters to reapply for AED!
*NOTE: Joining AED as an associate does not require the interview cycle

Associates
Becoming an associate member is a great way to gain knowledge about the Pre-Medical process and network with likeminded individuals. Associate members are able to participate in several events throughout the semester aimed at preparing students for a successful future in medicine. In addition, associate members are offered complementary MCAT discounts and are invited to multiple social events during the semester. There are no requirements and all are welcome to apply.
You can apply for associate membership at anytime. The application can be found on this page: |
