Alpha Epsilon Delta was founded as a national honor society in the spring of 1926 at the University of Alabama with the mission to foster successful and well-rounded undergraduates pursuing a career in medicine. Since then, 224 chapters have been chartered nationwide, forming a network of 144,000 alumni spanning coast to coast who embody the ideals of the society. In addition, a national convention comprised of delegates from each chapter is held biennially to conduct business related to the field of medicine. Today, the organization is the world's largest Pre-Medical honor society and is proud to welcome students from all fields who are engaged in the pursuit of a professional health career.
The California Alpha Chapter was established at the University of Southern California and has become the premier Pre-Medical Honor Society on campus. We are proud to host the annual Southland Pre-Medical Conference, which features a panel comprised of current medical students and an array of physicians who are leaders in their respective fields to help guide those who are pursuing a future in medicine.
